The local lifeboat station, have agreed to run a practice day in front of the Hotel were guests can view the work the RNLI does and what an important part of the community they are.
The Hotel plans to run other charity events throughout the year in aid of the RNLI.
Mark Sawyer, Coxswain, at Eastbourne RNLI lifeboat station said: “We are extremely grateful to the Majestic Hotel for raising a fantastic amount. We rely heavily on the generosity of the people of Eastbourne and this donation will go directly towards the New Tamar lifeboat.”
Nikki Stewart, manager at The Majestic Hotel, said: “I’m really proud of the efforts of the team. Their response has been wonderful and a lot of them contributed to the selling of the raffle tickets and also the donation of the prizes.
