Our winner for June was Mr Bernard Cross, congratulations! Mr Cross has not yet booked his break but there are plenty of places to visit for a fantastic Summer Break! Here are a few of our suggestions:
At this time of year Cornwall is a great place to visit, especially a seaside town like St Ives. If you have never been to St Ives here, is a great quote to sum it up:
“Cobbled streets, full of history, legend and tradition, winding between pretty fisherman’s cottages. St Ives has the simple beauty that stops you in your tracks.”
For those who live in St Ives life works around the harbour where boats bring in fresh fish daily, which is served in the many local restaurants. You may have heard of Tate St Ives, this forms part of the Tate London Gallery and can be found overlooking the magnificent surfing beach of Porthmeor. The gallery is host to a variety of local and national works.

This Victorian seaside town attracts visitors all year round but is especially enjoyable in the summer months. When people talk about Llandudno they normally mention The Great Orme. This is a limestone headland said to resemble a Sea Serpent. When visiting The Great Orme you can also discover the Bronze Age Mine and you can spot Kashmir Goats. If walking is more your thing there are plenty of paths and trails and when your feet are tired you can catch a ride on the Victorian Tramway or the Cable Car.
